Kroll Ontrack, the leading provider of data recovery and legal technologies, conceived and developed capabilities specifically designed to recover folders and files on all types of VMware systems, a capability that is invaluable in cases of data loss. Virtualization allows a single system to run several operating systems simultaneously, increasing usage and flexibility. While there are space-saving, environmental and cost benefits to virtualization and server consolidation, having a set of complete data in one place can leave businesses vulnerable to substantial data loss. Kroll Ontrack can successfully recover lost data on the following VMware systems VMware Infrastructure 2 & 3 (ESX Server, VMFS), VMware Server, and all versions of VMware® Workstation. In addition, Kroll Ontrack has also developed tools to successfully recover from flash media, SSD’s and LTO tapes. For example, Kroll Ontrack can bypass end of tape markers, which often hinder successful recoveries from these storage devices.

DiskInternals Access Recovery repairs corrupted Microsoft Access databases, and restores or recovers Access 2000-2007 .mdb and .accdb database files from damaged disks. Unlike other database recovery tools, DiskInternals Access Recovery’s capabilities aren’t limited to fixing database headers or repairing damaged structures; the program actually reconstructs the entire structure of a database by splitting it record by record, and assembling the records into a new database. The built-in Uneraser engine makes it possible to automatically restore deleted databases. The PowerSerch engine thoroughly scans the surface of the hard drive to locate all MS Access files on the disk. Even if the disk is damaged, reformatted, or its file system is corrupted, the program is capable of detecting and recovering Access files. One of the new features of the program is the support of Microsoft Money .mny databases.

Raid Recovery is no doubt a highly valuable tool for users of all types of RAID arrays, since the software is the first tool that detects the type of the original RAID array automatically, while offering an option for manual operation. The handy interface allows specifying parts of the RAID array by dragging and dropping disk icons. The program recognizes all possible configurations of array types, including RAID 0, 1, JBOD, RAID 5, and 0+1. Microsoft software raids (aka Dynamic Disks) are also supported. The last versions support Adaptec RAID Controllers and DDF compatible devices. Raid Recovery makes it possible to recover and backup all files from a corrupted array before fixing it. You can store the files on another hard disk or partition, use a recordable CD or DVD, or upload the files to a net storage. The advanced search algorithms allow to sort out and restore the files (documents, pictures and multimedia) even if there is a missing disk in the array, or if the file system is damaged.
